The Under Sink Water Filter System

Reverse osmosis is the water purification process most commercial and industrial water filtration systems use. Commercial water filter systems use reverse osmosis because it can eliminate pollutants from a water source in large quantities allowing the purified water to flow throughout the water pipes of such places as hospitals and industrial plants. And an under sink water filter system is a wonderful choice for home water purification.

Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System

Commercial water filter systems are not the only entities that use the reverse osmosis process to gain clean water, there are in-home systems that use this process too. It is the best, most effective process available today. The process uses a fine screening material that filters the water molecules as they pass through it cleaning out all the chemicals, mineral and metals in addition to dirt, sand and unhealthy bacteria.

This process needs help, though, to do its job without destroying its fine screening filter. A system using this process must also have a filtration system that clears out the chlorine from the water because chlorine can corrode the screen.

In-home reverse osmosis water filtration systems are commonly installed under the kitchen sink with its own faucet placed next to the main faucet by the sink. A professional plumber must be hired to install this type of system because it is connected directly into your kitchen’s water source. This is also true with the larger systems servicing commercial and industrial water sources. They tie into the industry’s water pipe system and therefore must be installed correctly. By being an actual part of the piped-in water system, reverse osmosis systems can clean large amounts of water every effectively.

It is normal for commercial water filter systems to handle three thousand to fifteen thousand gallons of water per day. Some industrial systems are built to purify more gallons than that. These heavy-duty systems require constant monitoring via flow meters, pressure gauges and human surveillance.

High pressure safety switches are an important part of the system in order to be able to shut the system down in case of emergency. Because of the volume of water passing through these systems, these systems are large with many tanks and centrifugal water pumps. Without question, professionals must be hired to install and monitor these under sink water filter systems.

Hospitals, high tech and electronic industries are industries that demand a vast purified water source to ensure the safety of their patients, in the case of the former and proper functionality of their products in the case of the later.
